Photo Fun

A good friend of mine asked me to take a few pictures of her. She and her husband are renewing their Wedding vows this summer and she wanted some pictures taken in her dress. I love taking pictures and was more than happy to have a little fun with her. Here is what we came up with a few hours and 200 pictures later. I did a little editing and here is what we are left with, don't worry, I think there are only 100 pictures in the slide show :)

Scrapblog

One of my friends but a challenge out for us to do a page that is "all about me" so this is my page. I was having a hard time at first but in the end I love it. Just thought I would share it with everyone!

Scrapbooking

I have found some wonderful friends and we have been getting together once a week and doing some scrapbooking. I LOVE it! It is so much more fun for me to scrapbook with other people. We have also been playing around with Digital scrapbooking, not sure if it is for me or not, I still really like to know that I have personally touched and worked on a page. But as busy as I am and as far behind as I am I thought I might start giving it a try. My friend told me about this website scrapblog.com it is free to join so I thought I would play around with it a little. Here is my very first digital scrapbook page.

I am also playing around a little with Creative Memories free software. I will let you know how that goes as well.

What do you think? Anybody have a favorite site? I would like to be able to print just single pages to put in my albums I have started. I may also make a full digital album but not sure if I am there yet!

I would love any and all suggestions!

House Party

I tried something new. I was referred to this website via a friend. I was very skeptical at first. But it was a lot of fun. There is a website called houseparty.com. You register for free and then you can look at the available parties they are offering and apply for them. If you are chosen to have a party you get a box of goodies to give to your guest and some to keep for your self.

Well I just hosted one last night and it was a blast. You can go to my party page directly at http://www.houseparty.com/party/75980 and see some more photos. But is was a Canon party, so I invited a few friends over to scrapbook and craft. Canon sent me a free photo printer! YEP FREE! it is the Canon SELPHY CP770 Compact Photo Printer.
I let my guest play around with it and they loved it. I am so excited about it too. Some of the cool features are that it is totally portable, it all fits in the case for easy carrying. I love some of the other features also like being able to print more then one photo on a page, it shrinks it for you and everything. Way cool and we loved the quality of the picture too!

I am so excited about my new printer. Thank you Canon! I am already looking for another party to apply for to host, I hope I am chosen for something again. It was a lot of fun and very easy!

Soup

Since the soup was so good, I thought I would share it all with you. I did a Google search for Zucchini Soup and then picked this one, it cam from Dianaskitchen.com

This is what I did,
Melted some butter in pot, added chopped onions; simmered until tender. Then added some flour, like 1 1/2 tbs. and cooked until lightly browned. Stir in equal amounts of Chicken broth and cream ( I used some milk & sour cream) Then add potatoes, I chopped recipe said diced, and zucchini, again recipe said diced mine was shredded. Simmer until potatoes are tender. At this point the recipe says to stir in grated cheddar cheese. I however put the soup in the blender first and purred and put back in pot and added cheese. It was a little thick so I added more chicken broth. Salt and pepper to taste. It was great and can't wait to have more, maybe even tonight :)

If you want the exact recipe just follow the link to Dianaskitchen.com

Enjoy!

Hobby

Ok, some people might know but I have a scrapbooking & card making hobby. Some including Kevin might call it an addiction! Anyway I thought that I would show you a few of my recent projects.

I have played around with the idea of trying to sell my cards or even scrapbook pages to help support this addiction, just not sure if it would work or how to go about it at this point. With that said if you are interested I will sell these or any of my others, also I would be willing to make more or different ones if you have a specific need.
